Before Project Visibility became a service, it was a problem I lived with directly.
My background is in construction engineering — field inspection, construction documentation, quality control, testing, and contract administration on road and drainage projects. I’ve sat in the gap between what’s happening on site and what management actually sees in a report. I know how that gap forms, and I know how expensive it gets when nobody closes it.
That experience is also technical. A geology course during my training sharpened that thinking further — understanding stress and strain, how materials behave under load, where failure actually starts. That way of thinking carried directly into construction: most visibility problems, like most structural problems, don’t appear suddenly. They build quietly, under conditions nobody was watching closely enough.
I’m currently completing a master’s in Occupational, Environmental Safety and Health (OESH). That’s not a side interest — it’s the same question asked from a different angle. Quality and safety both depend on the same thing: whether the people responsible for a decision can actually see the true condition of the work before it becomes a problem.
Why “Field to Digital.”
Construction generates enormous amounts of information — inspection notes, photos, progress reports, test results — most of it created in the field and much of it lost, delayed, or diluted before it reaches the people who need to act on it. Field to Digital is the discipline of making sure that doesn’t happen: capturing what’s real on site and carrying it, intact and usable, to the desk of whoever has to make the call.
Why this matters to me.
Matthew 14:14 describes Jesus seeing a crowd, understanding their condition, and responding to what He saw. That’s the standard I hold this work to. Visibility isn’t a reporting exercise — it’s the discipline of actually seeing a project clearly enough to respond to what it needs, before the need becomes a crisis.
I built TW Marshall to bring that discipline to project owners and consultants who are carrying more oversight responsibility than their current information systems can support.
