Back when I was preparing for the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate, I learned how to build databases using Microsoft Access. I didn’t know it then, but that experience planted the seed for everything I do today.
Fast forward a few years, and I found myself using Access to track quality control data for a civil works contractor—not ideal, but it got the job done.
It wasn’t built for field work (no mobile use, not team-friendly). But it taught me something important: the power of structuring data in construction.
